To ensure your time at TCPS is as enjoyable and as useful as possible, the college offers various student welfare services. Should you come across any difficulties before and during your study at TCPS , our friendly student welfare staff are always there to assist you and provide you with the best possible solution.
Visa Guidance
Once you have been accepted by the college (please see the Admission Procedure guidelines for more details), we will send you a letter of Acceptance, which you will need in order to obtain a Tier 4 Student Visa. Students are advised to take the following documents to the British Embassy / High Commission to apply for the student visa:
- CAS Letter.
- Passport and Photographs.
- Bank Statements showing the availability of funds in pounds sterling to cover the entire cost while at the UK.
- Relevant academic certificates (Originals).
- Secure English Language Certificate SELT

Airport Pick-up
As a general rule we do not provide this service, however if you do require a pick-up service on arrival in the UK to take you to your accommodation, we would be able to send you the details of local companies that would be able to provide this service for you.

Accommodation
At TCPS we do not provide accommodation, however our staff are always willing to help you find accommodation.

Bank Account
Once in the UK, you may find it difficult to open a personal bank account. However our friendly student welfare staff would be happy to offer assistance and provide the you with a letter addressed to the Bank Manager that would make it easier to open an accounts.

Computer Lab
TCPS has a Computer Laboratory which is equipped with the latest workstations using the latest software as well as access to the Internet. Our lab services and facilities are available free of cost to faculty, staff, and students during the opening hours. Both hardware and software are regularly reviewed and kept updated and secured all the time. We have a dedicated IT support person to look at any issues that may arise during the operation.

National Insurance
Anyone who is employed or looking for work in the UK is required to obtain a National Insurance number. To apply for National Insurance number, student will have to call the NI Helpline number. Student will need to supply the following information when applying:
• Name, address and phone number
• Employers name address and phone number
• Nationality
• If you are an overseas student, confirmation that you are here on a student visa (and the date your student visa expires) or are an EEA national.
TCPS staff will be there to assist you in this matter.

Transportation
Your accommodation may be within walking distance of the college. If not most students will require travel on bus, train, tram or coach. Being a full-time student at TCPS, students will become eligible for students discounts. Our friendly student welfare staff would be happy to offer assistance and provide the you with a letter.

Health Services
Treatment under Britain's National Health Service will be given to students on courses of over 6 months or longer. TCPS staff offer assistance and provide a supporting letter if needed to the international students to register with their local General Practitioner (Doctor). This will entitle the students to free hospital treatment through the UK National Health Service.

Student Discounts
As a student you will be entitled to discounts from various shops, cinemas, theatres and tourist attractions. To help you receive these discounts our friendly student welfare staff will issue student status letters and student ID's.

Council Tax
Full Time students are entitled to a discounted Council Tax Bill, to help with this our friendly student welfare staff would be happy to offer assistance and provide the you with a letter.
